Every so often an artist will create a new sound that is familiar but is truly ahead of the pack. Native Philadelphian, Santi White aka Santigold, is one such artist. Wearing her influences on her musical sleeve, combining her love of dub, new wave, hip hop and punk, along with catchy pop songwriting, to create a serious cultural shift in the pop culture lexicon. 

Her punk band, Stiffed, brought a new generation to the authentic punk sound of the late 70s and 80s, while her debut solo album, Santogold, infiltrated radios, television, films and art houses, with her sonic palette. 

Collaborating with everyone from David Byrne to Jay Z, it was proof that everyone wanted the ‘Gold touch.
